We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate in architecture or interior design, who has a real passion for design. The successful candidate needs to have the ability to handle technical details, yet be a good communicator. A positive and driven attitude, with a strong sense of motivation is required to develop ideas and contribute to our business.
The successful candidate will eventually design, develop and manage interior projects. Being a small business you will need to be versatile, so the candidate would be involved in other tasks such as graphic design (including writing blog posts for our website and social media).
The full time position is ideal for graduates seeking first-time industry experience. Though work experience within the industry is an advantage, it is not a requirement. We are looking for someone with a good work ethic and a good sense of humour.
Skills required
Submissions should be via email to c.morgan@abitalia.co.uk and include CV, pdf portfolio and covering letter, detailing your current salary (if applicable) and your salary expectation.
We had to blog this morning’s installation of the 40mm Marrone Etrusco quartz stone top for the latest Effeti kitchen being installed by Abitalia. Why? Abitalia work on many contemporary kitchens, yet this is a prime example of how interior architecture integrates beautifully with the architecture of the home.
The beautiful natural stone sourced and supplied by Abitalia was used in a 800x800mm format for the flooring throughout this residential property, with the same quartz stone being used to clad either side of the panoramic kitchen window and the kitchen work tops - an impressive five metre long run. The beautiful movement of the natural vein and variation in colour create a stunning continuity between surfaces and volumes. In addition the tonal fluctuation calls on the exterior environment and natural sources of colour.
Abitalia will professionally photograph the entire project as it reflects Abitalia’s approach to contemporary interior design. Abitalia has not only designed the kitchen, but also the bathrooms, wardrobes, living and dining areas. In the meantime, the iPhone photo’s give an insight into the work carried out by Abitalia. Our interior designers based in Cheltenham and the south coast work on interior architecture projects of all types and scale. The attention to detail given to a high profile kitchen is the same as a single freestanding wardrobe. Abitalia has a reputation for quality interior design and high standards of installation.
If you would like Abitalia to work on your project, please contact us by using the links above or calling 01242 262155.

This Edwardian Grade II listed building was erected in 1910, it has since had an extension in 1937 and now a second contemporary extension in 2012.

The brief was to create a contemporary luxury hotel that would fit sympathetically into it’s existing Edwardian surrounds.

The challenge of placing modern living within a traditional architectural space is something that Abitalia faces on a regular occurrence. Abitalia take careful consideration over every aspect of a project and pride ourselves on our attention to detail.

Contemporary furniture can certainly sit within the walls of another era beautifully. The comparison between sleek, simple furniture and ornate, decorative walls can compliment each other perfectly.
If you have a Regency, Edwardian or any other style of architectural building and are looking to re design with contemporary furniture and fixings, why not email Abitalia and see what we can do for you.

This impressive piece of architecture can be found in Tokyo. Named the “Toda House” this family residence sits on top of stilts in the sky, much like a birds nest.
